About Widgets:
Widgets collect content based on your selection. You can choose to import content like; events, places, profiles and listings from the websites. You can choose from the display options on how the content is displayed on your website. Most common options:
Configuring Widgets:
Content displays as "Cards"
Content is layered as "three in a row"
Number of initially fetched content items "9"
Display search bar with search options "Yes/No"
Content selection: Per Topic, Per geographical area, Per Event Organiser, Per Place
Lastly, each Widget asks you to type the domain address where the widget script is installed e.g.: https://www.websiteaddress.com
Possible error messages:
If you try to install the widget to any other domain it will display an error message which can appear like this: {"message":"connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:3200"}"
Sometimes this happens when websites owners change their domains and forget to update their Widget settings at the same time.
Solution:
Change the destination URL (website address you want to embed the Widget on)
Access rights
You can assign Widget editors, who can maintain and update the Widgets. Usually these editors are website editors from the companies or agencies supporting their website maintenance.
To change widget settings contact the Widget Editor. If you do not know who the Editor is please contact SuperAdmins. You can usually find contact information on the footer of the pages.
